How it got here
In 2023 the PIF took 75% of Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli, with club foundations holding the other 25%. Weeks before the sale, the Ministry of Sport moved the foundation’s 25% to the PIF. Al-Hilal is the first of the four where the PIF has sold down.
The money
Al-Hilal reported revenue of SAR1.27 billion for 2024-25, up 17%, which the club and Kingdom Holding call the highest for a Saudi sports organisation.
